Andhra State Incarnation day celebration
Today on November 1st Andhra State Incarnation Day at 9 am the Rotary Club of Marthuru paid floral tributes to the statue of Akunthita Dikshaparu Amarajivi Sri Potti Sriramulu at Sri Vasavi Nilayam next to the local Zilla Parishad High School. Rotary President Talluri Sambasiva Rao said that Potti Sriramulu suffered many hardships in his childhood and lost his wife and child. He was born on March 16, 1901 and died on the night of December 15, 1952 on a hunger strike for Andhra State at the age of 52.
