Flood Relief
Rotary clubs of Dist 3150
swung into action to help 300 families displaced by the recent flash floods in Mulugu dist. Kondai village Malayalam and other neighbouring villages
Kondai was very badly affected.
The families were rescued by the police department and national disaster team and the lives lost were minimal.
The communication had broken down and the police personnel using satellite phones could do a great rescue operation
Rotarians from RC SMART Hyderabad , RC Hyderabad Pride, RC Global Champions, RC Secunderabad, RC Abhudaya, RC Nizamabad Gems, RC Narsampet
Innerwheel club of Ekta and Chilakuripeta gathered clothes, utensils, footwear, sanitation materials etc and distributed in these areas with the help of the Police Department.
During the visit, the Rotarians met MLA Seethakka and Suptd., of Police IPS Sri Ghouse Alam.
Though our club members couldn?t visit the village, our club contributed divided expenses of 3,394 and donated 150 chapel?s worth 10,000.
